When writing each seminar paper, it is essential to realize that despite reference to relevant sources corresponding to the analyzed problem, it is the author’s own activity – the student, by which he / she presents objective information developed according to the topic of relevant argumentation. Its final form should thus reflect the author’s erudition, his interest in the topic under examination, and his ability to orient himself in it, thus demonstrating his author’s competence. The overall level and quality of the seminar work is strongly underlined by selection, selection and subsequent interpretation of information and knowledge resulting from work with appropriate bibliographic resources.
Based on this, the primary importance of the seminar work is to acquire a professional approach to manipulating facts, to acquire the ability of their logical configuration to the whole, as the logical form and sequence, the ability to conceive, and the ability to formulate the author’s subjective attitudes supported by adequate arguments are proof of mastery and understanding the problem being analyzed.
Formal attributes of seminar work
In addition to the content of the seminar work, the overall value is underlined by the ability to adjust its final form to the required formal standards, as stipulated by the relevant university / faculty directive.
Seminar work must be printed by computerized black print on a white, smooth, opaque paper for which A4 – 297 x 210 mm is prescribed to be legible.
The extent of the seminar paper is traditionally given by the number of normalized pages, which usually has 30 lines with 60 strokes in 1 line. The range of the text section varies, but usually ranges from 3 to 6 pages, which is 5400 – 10800 characters. Signs of introduction, core and conclusion are included, with internal guidelines and standards that include a list of bibliographic references in the content of the written work in the pages. The characters of the front part of the re-qualification work, ie the title page and the content as well as the characters of the texts in the annexes, do not in any way affect the scope of the work as they do not count.
The scope aspect prescribed for the seminar work cannot be underestimated, since disregarding the lower, minimum boundary is a sufficiently relevant reason for refusing a seminar work, thus failing to pass the course. Conversely, excessive excess of the upper limit of the number of pages may create the impression of excessive atomization of the text associated with the author’s inability to cope with the solution of the examined issue. This is precluded by the ability to select important information relevant to the fulfillment of the goal of the seminar work.
